Random Stuff...yet again

Have you checked out my Facebook page lately?  If you haven't friended me (good ole Facebook terminology) you should.  I have a tendency to post whatever the heck is on my mind.  You can get their by clicking my Facebook badge on this page.

Hmmm....what else.  Well, I've gotten into eating big breakfasts since ummmm September of this year and well...let me tell ya, it's starting to show on my rear end, and other places (i.e. hips, thighs, double chin).  I probably wouldn't have thought much of it, except my son wanted to bounce his head off my rear because apparently it has a lot of cushion, the makeup counter girl told me I could put more bronze on my neck to cover up my "excess skin", and I bought Denise Austin's "Daily Dozen" book and after walking two miles this week on a treadmill I had sweat dripping down my nose.  Wow, 4 years ago I was signing up for every 5k to walk in around the Jefferson City, Missouri area.

I have also had a dramatic increase in heartburn.  For goodness sakes, I'm carrying Zantac in my purse, and I'm only 32 years old (at least until next month).

I am thinking of working on Denise Austin's Daily Dozen book a bit harder, really walk my 2 miles everyday, plus my daily dozen exercises.  I believe one of the ways to accomplish this goal is luckily at work, equipment got stolen from another trainer, thus we now need to pack our equipment or eat in the room over lunch.  I think it might be good to pack some nutritious food in a cooler and take it on the road.  Most of the places I stay have a refrigerator to store my goods in.

I'm also thinking of trying to go organic on some foods (yogurt, some veggies, maybe hormone free meat).  Tell me, what do you think about that?

Hmmm...maybe you want to do this journey with me.  If you do, let me know and we can get awesome together!  For notice of disclosure, if the scale remains the same I'm cool with that because I look healthy.  However, that being said, I don't want sweat after 2 miles on a treadmill...maybe after a 5k distance.

Tired

Wow, my kiddos are 2 1/2 now.  It is so hard to believe that time can pass by so quickly.  Their vocabulary is exploding.  I am also amazed at the things they learn and retain.  An example would be Jack holding up a Ritz's Flip-it cracker and saying, "Oval."  Yes, the shape was oval.

I have yet to upload some video I took of Irene singing away with her play guitar, but when I do it is FUNNY!

The kids identify cars by who drives them, "Mommy car, daddy car, and Aunt Nini car."  This applies to all types of vehicles that look like our cars.  I think that is cute.

Jack, well, my son likes to pee in the tub.  Tonight, Pat was sure the boy was saving it back.  Ha!  At least not baby ruths floating in the bath yet.  Ha!

Me, hmmmm....I guess I'll admit that I've been eating like a horse and it's really starting to show on my butt.  The thing is, I think I look healthy and I like the style of jeans have spandex and some have tummy tuck qualities in the product.

Pat, he's almost had his 2nd stent for a month now.  I am so grateful to have a wonderful husband who loves and supports me in all my wacky world.

I remembered my password

Easier to keep my blog here.  Thank goodness I remembered my user id and password :)  More to come soon.  New videos of the kids, and hopefully get back to writing since I have a super wonderful friend who fixed our laptop!

Howdy

Sorry I haven't been keeping up on the blogging.  No internet now and I mainly use our cell phones to access the web.  I need to get a netbook, because I didn't realize how much I would miss doing things like uploading video and pictures from my digital camera to YouTube, Blogger, and Shutterfly (where I order prints when they have a sale).

On a personal note: We've entered the terrible twos stage.  Maybe it's because Jack is cutting his two year old molars, or he is just a pain in the tush.  Irene prefers to watch t.v., which can be okay, except that she wants Wonder Pets on all the time.  I mean you can't pull the kid away, and when you do turn off the t.v. she whines like a banshee.  Whew, I still love them, my little monsters that they are.

Hmmm....what else.  Oh yeah, I'll never have long hair, or probably short hair again.  My super short style is starting to grow out and for the last 2 1/2 years I find the itch to get it cut in about 6 weeks time max.  Super short hair rocks.

Check this out Soon-to-Be and New Mommies

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has joined the

National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies (HMHB) Coalition in a publicprivate

partnership to provide text4baby, a national campaign to promote

maternal and child health by offering free text messages to pregnant

women and new moms. Missouri women who sign up for the service by

texting BABY to 511411 (or BEBE in Spanish) will receive free text

messages each week, timed to their due date or baby’s date of birth.

Messages focus on a variety of critical maternal and child health topics,

including birth defects prevention, immunization, nutrition, seasonal flu,

mental health, oral health, and the safest ways for babies to sleep.

Text4baby messages also connect women to prenatal and infant care

services and other resources in Missouri.

The HMHB Coalition specializes in promoting optimal health for mothers

and babies by creating partnerships among nonprofit organizations,

professional associations, businesses and government agencies. The

text4baby partnership includes the White House Office on Science and

Technology Policy and the U. S. Department of Health and Human

Services as well as the text4baby wireless carriers who are voluntarily

distributing text messages to recipients free of charge. Missouri is proud to

be a text4baby partner. By putting timely health information directly into

the hands of pregnant women and new moms, text4baby can have a

significant impact on maternal and child health in Missouri.

Encourage the pregnant women and new moms you know - clients,

customers, patients as well as family members - to sign up for text4baby

and receive three free text messages each week encouraging them to care

for their health and give their babies the best possible start in life. Women

who need information beyond the text messages will be connected to

Missouri’s TEL-LINK number, 1-800-TEL-LINK (1-800-835-5465) for

Missouri-specific resources. The Missouri Department of Health and

Senior Services has distributed a news release and will be developing

promotional items to support the tex4baby campaign statewide. Let’s

partner together in Missouri to promote text4baby and make a difference in

the lives of our mothers and babies.

For more information visit www.text4baby.org or call the Bureau of

Genetics and Healthy Childhood at 1-800-877-6246.

Twins Update and Other Stuff

Another week has passed.  I'm pretty sure Jack said a bad word last night, and Irene smacked the car door telling it, "Bad."  After I accidentally bonked her in the head.  Okay, so I blamed it on the car door and it worked.  Take your advantages where you can.

At daycare Irene and Jack have both used the potty.  At home, they could care less.  Irene just doesn't want to leave her diaper on.  When I got to daycare today, apparently, she was diaper less.  Oopsie.  I knew there was one on her earlier.  I swear there was!

Both the kids are 32 pounds, and they don't turn 2 until September 3rd!  Next Friday.  Wow, my babies are toddlers now.  Boo-hoo....I'm going to make cupcakes to take to daycare next Friday.  I love my babies....I mean toddlers.

Me, I bought size 12 pants yesterday.  I should be walking right now, but as usual have opted to do something not as productive.  Thus, the butt gets bigger.  I'm not that worried to be honest.  I'm pretty blissful.

Pat, he's still watching kids as I travel.  So far, he still loves me and the kids.  God bless him.
